There is a story in Buddhist tradition that tells of a monk who was meditating in a forest when he suddenly had a vision of the entire cosmos. He saw the stars and galaxies, the planets and moons, and all the beings that inhabited them. He was filled with awe and wonder at the vastness and complexity of the universe.

As he continued to meditate, he began to realize that the cosmos was not separate from him, but was in fact a part of him. He saw that his own consciousness was connected to the consciousness of all beings in the universe, and that everything was interconnected and interdependent.

This realization led the monk to a state of enlightenment, where he transcended the limitations of his own ego and saw the world with new eyes. He saw that all beings were equal, and that suffering arose from the illusion of separateness.
